The Institute of Making will be opening it’s doors on the last Saturday of every month, to explore and get hands on with the Materials Library collection, to try out tools in the MakeSpace, and to try your hand at tinkering; we’ll be hosting different activities each time. We’ll also host demonstrations and maker sessions with experts and enthusiasts from all sorts of backgrounds; from electronics to bread making, glass to rope.

This month we’re hosting a neon making demonstration!

The events are free – drop in between 1pm and 4pm.
Space is limited.

About L.Calder

I am a designer maker mainly specialising in the field of textiles and design. I use colour changing and responsive dyes combined with simple electronics to create colourful pieces of work that can change depending on environment and programming. I also work with various materials and imagery to communicate concepts and ideas as well as create artefacts that are engaging and visually stimulating.
